Went to Bakersfield on Father's Day. Decided to ride the Kern River Bike Trail from Enos Lane into Bakersfield. It was a 15 mile ride into town and was just beautiful. It seemed like I should see aligators, because it looked just like the bayous of Houston. There was a lot of wildlife and I guess since it was Father's Day, few riders. I saw five or six. Could have been that it was 101 degrees too. After getting to Bakersfield I went by Action Sports to see about getting some new padding for my bike helmet. They were great, not only gave me some new padding but a really nice case for my helmet. Left CA on Tuesday and am back in Houston. Had my bike tuned up yesterday and will be hitting the road at home again this week getting ready for the Cactus and Crude MS150 in Mid-July in Midland.
