Had a great ride this past Sunday with Paul and Jeff Algra and the Woodlands cycling club. With my ride to and from the official start of the ride I put in about 60 miles. We kept a good pace in great weather, about 19mph. Not a bad speed for a social ride. Jeff did find that teenagers who don't ride regularly can't expect to keep up with the folks that ride regularly. Only got lost once but it was just because I was more sightseeing than not knowing the route in an area where we hadn't ridden before.

Rode again today on a new section of road near home. Great road with almost no traffic at this point. The picture below is after the ride in my new Oman Cycling club jersey that was funded by Oxy. This jersey will also be worn by the Omani National Cycling Team in the next Asian Games. Congratulations go to Brian Casey, who is a member of the club and suggested Oxy get involved. Brian is, by coincidence, the guy who got me back into cycling.
