The ride was great! Lots of hills and the Lightspeed was incredible, most of the way....I had done about 15 to 20 miles and was in between the two big hills when there was a loud pop in the rear end. Fortunately I was on the flat going through Hidden Hills because there was quite a wobble. I stopped and at first couldn't find the problem but after riding to the gate to Sophia Loren's home, I found that one of the carbon spokes had broken. Unfortunately, end of the ride and Sophia was not around to even offer a glass of wine. But what a great day. I rode nearly all of the ride with a great lady, Audrey Wolitarsky, who is training with Team in Training for the Hawaii triatholon. Can this lady climb hills on a bike! I've added a link to her fundraising page on the site so please support Audrey and her efforts!!I do think the rides in Texas are much better managed and supported and the riders are by far safer and more courteous though.
