Last official ride weekend was a tough one. I rode with several of TeamOxy cyclists on Saturday. We rode either 65 or 76 miles in the Brookwood Spirit Rally. It was a familiar route, but the difference was that the wind was out of the Northwest instead of the Southeast. Normally that would be great, but with this route, 90% of the ride was into the wind. And, not just a wind, but a 15 to 20mph wind. We finally turned out of it with about six miles to go.
Mary Weiman, Renee Rogers, Darryl Bergman and me
I determined the wind would not get to me today though and I took my time. It was a good ride, followed by a good bbq lunch. A few of our team rode Sunday also in the Space Race. I rode in the morning in The Woodlands.
We'll be having a team ride on Saturday in The Woodlands as our last organized ride before the MS150. We'll do about 40 miles with a few hills.
