Sorry for taking so long to get back to the site. The Best Buddies Challenge in CA was an incredible event, a fantastic ride and great events before and after. I'd recommend it to any rider in the country! We had 500 riders experiencing one of the toughest and most rewarding rides in the nation. Highway 1 from Carmel to Hearst Ranch in San Simeon is just gorgeous and the ride was one of the best. It was definitely one of the toughest I've ever ridden. Unfortunately, for those who rode only the 62 mile ride, they had the same BIG hills the century riders did. Finishing a ride along the Pacific coast with thousands of elephant seals cheering you on just doesn't get any better. Oh, and did I mention that we had a great post ride bbq at Hearst Ranch, concert by Third Eye Blind and a tour of Hearst Castle, all part of the ride.
Hope to see you all there next October. And, we hope to bring a Best Buddies ride to Texas in the near future. How does Dallas to Houston sound?
