Back in Houston but not before a couple of last training rides in CA. Rode last Friday from Pine Mountain Club to Sagebrush Annies for dinner. It was about a 45 mile ride along the ridge from Pine Mountain at 5500' to Ventucopa at 2000'. A lot of fun and I'm getting much better climbing the hills. The day before I rode from Pine Mountain up Mt. Able. It was the first time this visit to climb the big mountain and it went very well. Much easier than I thought it would be. I still have to keep at it to make sure I'm really in shape for the September ride though.
